Where do you think a hose goes that connects to this port? I have a Rochester 4MV with an unconnected hose end that is capped off.

It is not the sight tube and not the vacuum break.

See attached pic.

If I remember correctly, that's for the hose than goes back to the mechanical fuel pump. It's the "dump" hose in case of a diaphram leak in the pump. If you have an electric fuel pump, it's not needed and would be capped. Hy

I believe it goes here and is part of the vent. There is a short elbow hose that goes on it. Look for the blue circle.

That connection is made already. It is a clear "sight" hose.

That is for the sight hose.

The one I am talking about is on the throttle body. Here is another pic. This is not the same model as mine, but does have the nipple.

If it is capped off and you already have the fuel pump sight hose hooked up then that port is not needed.Leave it capped.

Thanks. "Capped" is sort of a formal word here. There is a hose connected there and a piece of a twig shoved in the end.

It still may need to remain there, but made me think I needed to find a home for the end. Or, at least find out why it is that way. :)
