Mystery Port on 1960 75hp - water comes out while running - ANSWERED

I thought that this might be a fill hole for the lower unit oil but I don't see any threads in it. When the engine is running water pours out of this hole. Can anyone help me identify what this hole is for.

Picture is not coming thru. However, if the hole you're speaking of is approximately 1/8" in diameter, possibly slightly smaller... that is one if the water drains built in to the unit. It's purpose is to allow water to drain out of the unit in areas where freezing temperatures take place (eliminates cracking).

If you're speaking of a larger hole (approx 3/8" or so) that may exist in a 5" extension housing... the same holds true (drain hole).

I see the pictures on several different computers I'm sorry you don't but it is the three eights inch hold it's about 5 inches higher. Thanks for all the help
