My Swivel-Ease hydraulic pedestal won't stay down!

I bought a used 05 Triton TR186 with a Swivel-Ease Hydraulic front bow seat. I compressed it all the way down, however, in a few hours it's fully extended. I'm hoping there's some kind of fix for this so I can spend my $$ on other boat projects. Any Ideas??? I mean fully compressed, it's fine, perfect height. The real reason I like these seats, is because I can hang my towel on the lever!! LOL!!
