My Starcraft project!

[74 Starcraft Capri]

Sorry its taken me so long to post pics but here they are. It's a 1974 Starcraft Capri 17'. Bought it pretty much dirt cheap. The outboard is a 1973 Evinrude 115. The motor need some working on but nothing major (carbs soaked, new plugs, & alittle cleaning) and runs great now. Transom as you can see is not great. Planning on redoing it w/ Seacast though. Pulled out all the interior trim, seats, & carpet this past weekend. I had planned on keeping it orginal but I plan to keep this for the long haul so I'm putting a fresh update to it. I'll post new pics of the work as I go along. Thanks again to everyone that has given advice!

Thanks for sharing the pics. That's a cool old boat. I think it will clean up nicely. Your transom looks pretty good at the bottom but those cracks would indicate that the top has rotted.

Structurally, your Capri is much like my Americans. Check my links below for some idea of what you might be getting into if you start cutting...
