Day one (6/25). Went with guide. Limited on walleye in the AM. Great shore lunch. In the PM caught some smallies and walleye, plus a few small snakes.
Day two. Took RED SKY out. Caught some huge smallies, a few snakes and John caught this 40" musky.
Huge hailstorm in the PM.
Day three. Out in REDSKY again. Fish had lockjaw except this 43" musky John nailed.
.
Day four. Caught a few little snakes. That's all.
Day five. With a new guide. Limit of walleye and shore lunch. In the PM guide and John each caught muskies. John's was about 38" (he didn't bring it in the boat) and the Guide's was 43".
Day six. Out with our regular guide again. Walleye and shore lunch. John caught a musky about 30". A few smallies and snakes.
JB fishes from the stern, so any fish that sees his lure has probably already turned down 1 or 2. They all turned down mine, too.
John's successes all came on a spinner I made for him out of a Blue Fox #6 Musky Buck head and a single hook Mepps Musky Killer tail. Head and blade fire tiger, tail black.
Best trip ever for John. 4 muskies, one only an inch short of his lifetime high.
I have more pix, but don't want to challenge the bandwidth.
