My next rookie question - tilt/trim

1977 Starcraft 16SS. Evinrude 85. On the lake this weekend the motor would not react to pushing the tilt/trim toggle switch in the up direction. I'm assuming there's a mechanical fault that a shop will have to address, but has anyone else had this experience?

Need to check your wiring and fuse. Here is wiring
Trace the wiring with voltmeter

Is it a tilt and trim or just a tilt?

I have a tilt only, works great at idle speeds. Anything above idle and it won't hold.

Someday I'll install the PT&T unit I picked up.
