My new old baby-1981 Bass Hawk

Just bought it today. I am completely rewiring it. It already has new carpet. the wood is in great condition. And it is the same age as me.

This is my first boat, and I think it will be a great starter. The motor was just gone thru yesterday by a mechanic. It starts great and idles great with the ears on. The motor is I think an 1986 Enivrude 88SPL. 88hp

You can see me tow rig in the background in the last pic. 2004 Ram 2500 Cummins...

I made new stickers for it today and got the wiring finished. Tomorrow is my maiden voyage...

That looks like a great fishing rig and I bet it hauls with that 88 on there. Great boat and motor.

i have a 196xl bass hawk and it was made in Rome,GA. before they closed the plant down...........i love mine i post some pics as soon as learn how to use this sight(lol) i am still trying to make a new post and cant figure out how

Looks like a really nice starter boat to me. Looks like it will fly on the water.
