I just got it last week. Previous owner brought it to Florida from Maine, where it was only used on a lake. Very good shape for its age, and the 115 Evenrude runs good. Ugly color, though.
This summer i'll use it as is, then next winter gut the interior and re-do. You'll notice it's missing the flybridge windshield, which i'm trying to replace.

Welcome, you are one of a few Floridians on this list with SCs. That brown is a first for me. You're right its gotta go.

Nice boat. The color is kind of dark, you can fix that though. I love the old cuddies and often wish I had one.

You got plans for a restoration/makeover? Have you seen the resto threads on the top of the forum here? There are a couple of Cuddies that are getting re-done.

Actually there are a number of them (early 60's design) here, i think they just don't know of this forum site. I bought the third one to come on the market here in 2 years, and right now there's one on craigslist in Tampa. A month ago i was in downtown Jax and saw one idling down the river. I'm just glad i finally got one of my own.

Grant that looks like a great project . Welcome to iboats ( and since you included pics ) The Starcraft club. I only see one problem with your plans ( I dont think one month is going to be enough to resto her ) :D . I grew up in Tampa and January makes for a short winter :D.

Looks good, that thing should fly with a 115 on it. my grandpa had a 115 that looked like that on a 17.5' crestliner (also tin boat) If I recall that thing would to 50 mph at sea level.

I actually don't want that monster on the boat. But i can't afford something smaller now, and it runs OK, so i'm stuck with it.
If i want to go fast, i have a 14' rowboat with a 30 HP evenrude that's kinda dangerous with the throttle wide open.

That is a really neat boat. I wouldn't be in a hurry to swap out that Evinrude. That's a great motor for that boat and the V4's were good motors and still enjoy good parts support. That power tilt and trim unit you have on there is worth $400 on ebay by itself.

Rob, do you have any pics? I always like to see how others have set up the insides, since it's hard to find one with the original layout.
Also, does yours have the flybridge windshield?
