My Mariner 15HP motor - Who is the maker and what year was it made?

I have a Mariner motor. I have done some research online and think it was made in 1988 by Yamaha but I am not sure. I am looking for a list on the internet to find my motor year made, but ultimately, I am looking for the original part numbers for the motor parts, like a schematic design. I am trying to find an electric starter motor and switch for it. Some of the websites seem to be listing the parts for a 15C, even though the metal label on my motor reads 15M.

Welcome aboard. The first thing we need is a serial number. That is the key to finding the right parts getting you pointed in the right direction.
