Well my 8 year old is a wake boarder. Bought him a board for this summer. The weather has been crappy. We took the boat out Sunday before the thunderstorms hit. He got up three times but immediately fell. Fourth time he was up and I pulled him for a few miles. He enjoyed skiing back and forth inside the wake.

Of course I got my board out for a bit. I did a few jumps and some nice face plants. He enjoys his old man wiping out. We gave my wife so much sh.. that she gave it a go again. She finally got up for a little bit.

My eight year old and I also did some double knee boarding. I hope to get the 6 year old up on the wake board next summer.

Out of Seneca in the Morris pool. I see you boat there also. I have been boating there for years, probably have seen you. We used to always hang with our friends at the "little" beach by the railroad bridge. This summer we have been anchoring in the cove by "big" beach.

I used to put in at the Des Plaines conservation area on the Kanakee by Willmington. Did that for few years. You are right it does get busy on the weekends. You have to ski early/late or go way up past Morris closer to the lock.

We will be out maybe Friday night and Sat/Sun.

Yep. If you see any kids slalom skiing around barges its us! Been launching in Ottawa lately. A little quieter there. Went to Shelbyville over the weekend. Rotten weather but finally some glass. After two hours of skiing in the rain we left. Burned 44 gallons towing roundtrip. Plus a motel room. Burned 5-7 gallons boating.
