My younger son turned 7 this month. We were beached near Seneca on the Illinois River. He wanted to try wakeboarding so I got out his brother's board. I stood on the beach and pulled the rope by hand so he coud get the feel of it. We then took the boat out. He got up on the third try! After that he would get up and ski with no problem!!

Of course I left the camcorder at home:mad: But the next day I got him on video... Can we up load video clips on this site?

That's great!! Congrats!

I did exactly the same thing with my boys - I think I saw it on a video. Practices on the beach, then took them in. They are 10 and 8.

The 10 year old got up twice and face planted once. The 8 year old was up for about 5 seconds, got a little scared and belly flopped a bit. He did great, but he doesn't want to try it again for a bit and I won't force him.

Tabes instead of uploading a clip look into getting a youtube account or signing up for Google Video (I use Google Video). Then just link people to your stuff. There's probably all kinds of options for it besides those as well.

Thanks guys. He let go one hand to give me a thumbs up and did a face plant. I personally hate tubing, waste of gas. I don't mind taking them knee boarding or wake boarding all day.
