my Johnson 150 -87 dies under load

My jonhson is behaving quiet funny when i put in a gear and try to speed away it dies, but when i took away the shift arm on the motor and did the same thing it runs good, except the sneezing on idle that i have all the time. <br />What could this phenonoma be?? i have cleand the carb, rep plugs.<br /><br />Thansk / Andreas

You may have missed a little crap in the high speed jet when you cleaned the carb. Also make sure your float is not stuck or set wrong. It should be level with your carb when turned upside down.

Thanks a lot, i clean my carb again and i found i lttle peace of dirt in one of the yellow things that transporting gas, and i took my boat for a ride and it worked very good, little bit of sneezing on idle but not like before. thansk for all the help i have gotten from you and this forum.<br /><br />Andreas

glad to help you. Keep your carb clean by putting an inline fuel filter on your gas line and run Stabil or some other fuel stabilizer in every tank.
