To all those who gave helpful advice for our present situation with the boat being stuck on the river, Thank You!! Im glad to know everyone is so perfect and have never learned from your mistakes...must be nice looking down your noses at people. I havent been able to get back to say thank you or update the situation due to work and other stuff too...Just wanted to stop by and say a big THANKS!!

I think I do detect a note of sarcasm there. Perhaps it is deserved. I did read the original post and did not comment but did note the replies.

However, it is ALWAYS better to learn from other peoples mistakes than our own. That is why the human race has books and keeps records. Thus: With a little effort, we can do new things without needing to learn from our own mistakes. ---and be beaten up on the forum.

Yeah . . . well hmmmm . . . we can't really see a whole lot of benefit to leaving this open. I hope that Brian and you find a way to get the boat retrieved. Thanks for the follow-up, but I'm going to close this to keep from any more bashing, sarcasm, or otherwise. Sorry if some of us found it important to ridicule the original grounding. Safety is a big part of boating and sometimes we're especially passionate about it. Good luck!!!
