1. The city of Green Bay sees 70,000 plus crowds 8 times a year, how is it that it still takes me 1.5 hours to travel the 5 miles from the stadium to the freeway after the game.

2. Why can't the stop lights down Onieda be turned off and have police directing each one. (threre were 4 cops with light sticks just standing amongst the not moving cars.

I guess maybe its different because the trip home after a loss is always longer anyways, and the fact that a 1.5 hr trip takes 3 multiplies my anger.

But hey at least we are expecting some snow here tonight, so people like me and EE can be happy around here.

Tough loss Pony. What is Favre going to do? I don't think he should quit yet. I think he still has some football left in that arm. He just needs some help. With some good help, he will not be as likely to force a throw because he won't feel he has to make all the plays.

PONY!!! Pony... Pony.. Pony... Buddy... pal...

:shakes head:

Why didn't you tell me you were going to the game?! Remember I lived less than half a block away from Lambeau for more than half my life?

I could have hooked you up with parking, directions, the whole gamut! I know the in's and outs of that town like the surface of this keyboard. I had to figure out a way to live with it since, as you noticed, Oneida shuts down before and after a game... (I lived on Oneida Street) Dang man, tell me when you go next time!!

Sean

Yeah Sean, I thought about that well after the fact. When I was trying to decide on Ashland or Onieda I actually thought "What would Sean do?"

For the past couple of years we have been parking in the stadium lot.........I fit in well with the crazy atmosphere

It's no problem, I see where I rank... haha just kidding.

Yeah Ashland and Oneida are both nuthouses... I would have woven you through the streets to an onramp which is way out of the way of Lambeau... You could probably get on the highway within 20 minutes.. :D Just drop me a line next time you go.

Sean

Pony,

Can you imagine how fun it would have been if it was a packer v bear game with all those FIB's using I43 and their customary friendly disposition and driving edicite? All the way to Germantown.....

I will ask how many true locals really have a problem with traffic? Lowsy game just the same. Go Sherman, go anywhere, just go.

Good point Pointer LOL...I dont even want to imagine what that would be like. I take 41, but I can't imagine that would be any better.

EE- I will be sure to get in contact with ya before I go to another game.....

Idk, I am not convinced Sherman needs to go as of yet......he has kept that team fighting and the locker room together fairly well. I don;t want to blame injuries, but they have enough of them. A running game would be nice, but not with the o-line we have. I think that is the singlew biggest issue

It would be nice if #4 stays another year, but he certainly doesn't owe Green Bay anything. Sometimes new blood is good. Right now, Everybody knows Everything about him. Sure he has the talent, but there are no suprises left. Remember when a few new franchises started up and did extremely well? (Early Buccaneers and Panthers among them.) That's because Nobody knew Anything about them.

It's like when Jordan was still playing basketball. It was a privilidge just to be on the court with him. Same with Favre. :) But it also makes them a favorite target. :(

Sherman? He's gotten Chicken. He settles for 3 way too often. It's happened game after game. When they need 7, they settle for 3.

Does anyone agree that one of the greatest tragedies in the history of the Packer organization is that they never, EVER teamed Brett up with a good, reliable Wide Receiver?

Just think about what they could have done!

Sean

Re: My first rant (that I admit anyway)

I'll agree to that EE......we had Sharpe until his career ending injury. I think Walker the potential to be in the top 3 recievers in the league. Imagine a healthy Walker, Favre, and REGGIE BUSH.

The issue here is that Thompson designed this year as a rebuild whether we want to say it or not. He's not gonna admit it either, but thats what it is. Thats why he didnt keep our guards etc. He is stock ing up on cash. Next year we will be WAY under the cap with money to spend........I think it was the plan all along.

I also agree with Sherman and the 3's....We saw it Monday, and it was even more evident in the first Viking game.

I'm not a big fan of Sherman either. You can look at his record and say a lot of good things about hom. He's a decent play-caller too, not great, but pretty good. IMO, he's not a game coach though. If you want to win playoff games, let alone, a superbowl, you need a good game coach, someone who knows how to lead a team, when the going gets tough during a game. I just don't think Sherman has that intensity and confidence that's important. Oh, and unfortunately Sherman's GM duties will continue to haunt the Pack for awhile. How many cornerbacks has he drafted in the last few years?? Two first rounders to boot. And what does the Packer's secondary have to show for that? Nothing. And trading up to draft a, uh, a punter??? I'll give him credit, he did draft Walker, a little too late for Favre's career though. I agree too EE, they should've traded or drafted a good WR wayyy earlier for Favre!

The only thing about Sherman though, is he probably has to stay for Favre to stay. I can't imagine Favre wanting to give much effort in learning a new coach's system at this point in his careeer...

Re: My first rant (that I admit anyway)

Yeah thats the bad part Basscat.......it seems like its keep Sherman and Favre or lose both. I hate that. Sherman's play calling was decent last year, but this year I would go so far as to say he is predictable. Not sure how much injuries and lack of personel have to do with that, but it would be nice if he started calling it like he has nothing to lose.

For example

1. Fake punts/ Field goals
2. Surprise onside kicks
3. Flee flickers etc

Those things alway bite us when the other team "has nothing to lose"

First time seeing this post since that game... Gotta say that was a great game. GO VIKINGS. I was talking to CK during that game. He had to take a few cry breaks during it too. :D Wish I could have been there live but since I dont much like people, a packed stadium is no place for me. GO VIKINGS. Sorry had to rub it in pony.

It's all good Wimp, I am pretty much over it.........Ck wasnt the only one to need a cry break. I think the 70,000 people next to me wanted one too.

Pony, speaking of Reggie Bush... Even if the Pack doesn't have the #1 pick, it would be nice if they traded up to get it! Bush might be the closest thing to a lock there is in football. You never know until their pro career starts, but there's talk of Bush being one of those backs that comes around once in a blue moon, if that even!

Re: My first rant (that I admit anyway)

Im not sure it matters if we get the number one pick or not. I personaly fell that Houston is done with Carr and would take a QB over Bush. Either way USC guys are going one and two. Like I said earlier I think this year was Ted Thompsons way of stocking up some cash to get a couple big names. Trading up for Bush would be well worth it, especialy if Rodgers turns out to be a stud.

As far as CB's go, I think in two years Nick Collins will be better than Sharper ever was, and Al Harris is playing like an all pro.......Thomas was a bust, but Carrol would be ok if they could get him to stop using his hands and turn around to look for the ball.
