my engine is blowing up....

guys my 78 merc is falling apart. the engine has been sitting for a little over 1 year. it cranked right up and i ran it for maybe 1 hour. then it just quit. it will not start.. compression is good on all cylinders.. except one which has 30.. the carbs are leaking gas from the bottom..and i found out that the number 5 and 6 cylinder is not firing.. what else will happen.. where do i start with the firing issue? also i want to find out if the rings are stuck n number 4 cylinder.. anyway how can ido that? any helpwould be appreciated. i never had mercury before just yamaha so im a little lost on this one..

You can try a decarb (see FAQs) to see if you can get that compression up. Until that is done the rest of the problems are not worth worrying about.

ok since motor will not crank how do i use sea foam..how long do ilet it stand and how much do iuse in each cylinder..
