Okay so my day was a bit messed up.......
I had to contact my Insurance Company and my local DMV. A family of mice (or maybe a bachelor) decided to make a condo out of my Chevy trucks glove box. Along with the standard insulation they dragged in and shredded.....they also shredded my insurance card and registration certificate. Called DMV and they charged me $13 by phone for a duplicate to be mailed......... used my debit card.
Went to lunch and discovered my debit card was missing (slight panic) so I used cash......... could not figure out where the debit card went
Upon returning to my building I entered the elevator and pressed 2 but the elevator went to the basement (usually a locked out place only available to those with a key) and the doors opened and I just stayed inside. I pressed the 2d floor button again and then nothing happened........ NONE of the buttons worked.
I decided to use the "call box" in the elevator and it automatically calls when you press the button........ it calls 911 with a pre-recorded message. I was able to finally talk and I had to give my name??? I wonder if there was a Do Not Rescue list????
25 minutes later I hear the Fire Dept call down to me and ask if I am in there...... DUH so...... I said yes and asked if they were going to blow the doors open They told me to stay there well where in the heck was I going to go?
Finally the basement doors opened and I stepped out into the basement ....... the fire dept told me to wait for the other firemen to get to me...... well they did not have an access card so they used the other elevator............ I'M FREE!!
Think it ends there? Well the debit card was found and I contacted my bank that there were no problems....... I called in an iboats order and my card was denied so I used my regular CC. I called my bank and the proper person did not get the messages (yup left two) so...... I might have a usable debit card or I might be w/o one for two weeks.
