My last post I made some months before (see: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=489140), I'm sorry for it, but now the CV18ss is mine.
Meanwhile I find out that my boat was used as rescue vehicle in Austria, in the 1970ies.
Now, no boating time in Germany, I want to make some beautification- means cleaning, polishing and if necessary, replacements - you must know I'm
an amateur with no experience in restoration.
For the first I detached the loose seat upholstery, cleaned them, made some small repairing with liquid leather and finally put a special lotion on it.
A lot of work but the result is very good. I'm really happy that the upholstery is in a very good condition, I would say nearly like new (now).
Then I detached the navigation lights from the hull. I think that they are not the original lights.
--> and there is my first problem: I attached a photo from it and you can see, that the red plastic is broken.
Do you know this light and wherefrom I can get one complete or parts of it?
--> I?m also looking for original emblems and decals, which are hard to find, I think.
I would be happy, if anyone can help.
