I have a new Laguna c180 (basically a sea-pro 186, same hull, made by bluewater marinegroup). I had a need to flush the bilge (don't ask, it had to be done), when I put the hose in the front with the boat tilted back, it took minutes for water to start draining into the bilge cavity in the back.
I looked and water was not coming out of that big drain tube in the bottom of the bilge cavity like it should, but overflowing from the top (near the floor) into the bilge. In fact, I could stick my hand into one of the access ports on the floor and the water was running over the top of bulk heads where I know there is over a foot deep cavity. Obviously, the boat was full of water.
Regardless, I got most of the water out by standing it on its tail, but I'm sure there is some water stuck in the boat since it won't drain.
I stuck a fiberglass rod into the big drain tube at the bottom of the bilge and it would only go 2 feet and hit something hard, didn't feel like foam.
Do I have a defective hull? Someone foamed over drain tubes? Can brunswick/bluewatermarinegroup fix this under warranty? I would hope that most boats that get water inside the hull can be drained! (even through normal causes)
PS.please hold off on the negative comments, I just need to know how to get the water out of my brand new boat!
