My friend just got a boat, while I've fished alot mostly on my canoe or from shore so I was not the most boat savy person out there.I said to him lets fish near that pile of rocks must be some fish around there. My friend headed over towards the rocks he said jump up front and watch for him,so I did, then realized I forgot my my fishing rod so I jumped back over the windshild and grapped it,I got back up front and not 2 seconds later I saw we were going over a big flat shallow rock,I yelled rock, rock, rock by then to late we were just coasting but still had enough momentum to shoot me off the bow like superman fishing rod and all.Well my friend came around picked me up and then we looked for my rod.We were going slow near where I fell off and we spotted it(I figured I try to hook it or something)well my friend starts yelling jump, jump, jump so whats my dumb *** do I jump ,but I still had my coat on ,it filled with air and I could not swimm deep enought to get it .Now the water was deep here and found a rock to stand on (sept.cloudy, cold day), water at my neck, winter coat on,now I'm in the water trying not to drown ,well I lived lost my fishing pole and nobody had a camera to get me flying through the air like superman....LOL oh well

Re: my $10,000.00 moment

Lucky you didn't have one of them "On Golden Pond" moments like on the movie were the old man was guiding the young boy that was driving the boat. Then they hit a rock the old man flys off and busted his head open, not killing him but knocking him out.

I hate guiding us out of a tight spot or stumpy or rocky spot on the lake, but you got to do what you got to do, part of boating, and part of fishing.

Glad your alright.
