multiple configurations for leaf springs???

I see pics of leaf springs where the axel is on top of the spring and others where the axel is under the spring.
I see the "U" facing up sometimes and sometimes its facing down.

Are all of the configurations correct?

There are about 30 spring configurations and about 20 variations of ratings . So replace what you have with the exact sames style, rating and configuration
