Toneeees just pointed out how to do this today in the new software and I thought this might be an overlooked "it's working" feature on the forums right now. If you've been waiting for them to fix multi-quote, it's actually been working all along. It just works differently now. Here's how:

Find something quote worthy in a thread you're in:

And hit the QUOTE button:

We've mostly figured that part out, but since MT is such a quote-worthy fellow go ahead and hammer those other three posts:

It will seem like nothing is happening, but if you notice the upper left corner, there is a button that has all of those posts recorded:

Click that button, and sprinkle MT's prose with nuggets of your own wisdom, and viola! you get a multi-quote:

No promises that it'll be an error free one though.

*** Apologies to MT for snagging his "post-padding" for a demo ;)

Thanks for the info southkogs ;) I was wondering if there was a way to do this?

Beats the way I posted doing the quote/cut/paste/preview/cancel/repeat mess. It also explains why the reply to box title had (X). The X is the total number of quotes being strung together. It was probably working properly when I was doing the cutting and pasting. I like this a lot better!

Thanks for a better tutorial and way easier. You're about to get another of my frugal likes, Kogs. :thumb:

Love it, thank you SK... Here's a curly one for you...

Can you determine the order in which the replies are quoted (I could in the previous version)? :llama:...

I haven't figured out that I can do that yet. I've tried it the way we used to, but no go. Still using copy and paste to pull that off right now.

I quoted in this sequence - Posts 8, 10, 4, 3 and 11. By the post #s below, the result was 3, 4, 8, 10 and 11. So the order of post selection isn't the same as the display order. You could cut and paste to put them in the order you intended, but at least they are in one place or reply box. And the Undo button comes in handy if you paste in the wrong place.

... for y'all to try multi-quoting with :D

And just think, I almost deleted them earlier thinking they were a bunch of accidental posts.:lever::D

Not sure if any of you have tried this yet or not, but for an easier way to help you multi quote multiple texts in the same post, you could highlight the text using the mouse cursor arrow then click on the quote wrap found in the forum tools. To find the forum tools, click on the big blue underlined A next to the smiles.:)

I like the like! For me it lets me feel like I was able to show someone I recognized their post without the need of always saying something or bringing the post back up to the top for nothing.:) Helps keeps my post count down.:D

cool, but don't hit any quote button more than once. I could have used that this morning on my fuel post.

The only issue is you don't know who's being quoted. Can be an issue......

LOL my cursor just happened to pass over the bar under my name, the one that normally says "is on a distinguished road" when you hover. It's changed to "will become famous soon enough!" Maybe the likes are improving my social status :D

Yes it can be! It also seems to make it a little more easier if you don't want to quote the members name out. Just the text or texts in general.;)
