Moving Boat

I have a 3200 lb boat, How much weight would be moved foward if i move the boat forward 4 inches? Trying to take some weight off of the axel.

would need a bunch of info to get you a good number. But how about a wild guess? 75 to 100 #. To help out the axel you would need to move several hundred lbs to your hitch. Maybe not a good idea

How much weight is on your axle,and what is the axle rated for,and how much weight is on the tongue? If the axle is overloaded,moving the boat is not going to lighten it enough,and it will increase your tongue weight causing more problems.
