Mounting

I recently down-graded to a 1969 55hp Johnson. My question is, I have a 1963 Johnson 75hp on my boat. I was wondering if The mounting brackets or the holes will line up with the new motor, or can I just use the mounting brackets on my boat and just slide the motor in place with the old brackets?

Hey juice....ya' might want to check. I think the older motors had mounting studs sticking out the swivel bracket that the mounting clamps hung onto. I think yer 55 has screw in studs that screw in from the outside of the mounting brackets into the swivel bracket.

Actually my 63 has screw studs well. I just want to know if they are same measurements to slide in?
