There is a hot wire and ground coming off your cable assy, not sure of the wire color. Get a multimeter and set to VDC and look for 12 volts when the ignition switch is in the on position, and verify the voltage is absent with key off. The wires are the ones that are dummied out with rubber end connectors. This will also work for twin applications but the problem is the voltage is present on both meters when either motor is running making the unit display running time when the motor is off. hope this makes sense.
