I have 2 batteries. One for trolling and the other for everything else. Boat is a 17'v bottom. I got a battery selector switch incase I ever need to use trolling battery to start motor. There is no place though for me to mount the selector switch. Any suggestions how to rig something up? Is there any type of dual battery tray out there that has a mounting bracket built into it?

Well I actually mounted my battery selector switch in the cranking battery box itself. There is a lot of head room in the typical battery box and since the switch is for the battery selection, seems like a good idea. that's what I did...

I have an individual battery box for each battery and its just those black plastic boxes you usually see on campers, no room in those.

My two batteries are separated from the front to the back. But I ran heavy gauge wires from the front trolling motor battery box to the rear battery box at the transom. And the battery switch mounted in the starter battery box works out perfect. It allows me to switch from front, rear or both batteries when I want. No need for additional mounting and exposed wires either. A lot better place to mount it for my situation. JMHO

Maybe a little picture or three will show what I was talking about with mounting the battery selector switch in the battery box... Here are a few pictures...Battery Box Pics (1).JPG
None of the parts can be flooded via water intrusion the way they are installed. So what better place then at the battery... JMHO
I have the selector switch and control panel circuit breaker and charger plug all mounted in the top of the battery box.

The circuit breaker is 30 amps and water proof clear rubber cap.
