Hey guys, I bought a screw on 10 micron fuel filter to add to my '97 Sea Pro 190WA powered by a Mercruiser I/O. It seems like I can just drill the bolt pattern into the bulkhead separating the engine compartment from the area immediately fore of that, that actually houses the gas tank, the bilge, etc.

I bought some stainless steel lag bolts of appropriate size but wanted to double check that this is the best way to do this. I plan on just drilling the holes out and then using those lags to hold the fuel filter subassembly to this bulkhead.

Thanks in advance for any comments!

Best,
Trev

If your mounting the filter low in the bilge area just make sure there is enough room to unspin the filter. Personally if you have the space to put nuts on I would throughbolt it using ss hardware and locknuts, along with a little 4200 where you drill through wood.
