I have a suzi df140 that has been sitting now for about 5 months. Last time I used the boat, I just trailered the boat and covered it because I thought the next week I'd be fishing again. Well' I haven't been able to get back out to the lake where I store it for 5 months now. It wasn't winterized, but I live in north Texas and it dosn't get that cold. Can I start it and use it now ( after draining bad gas and re-fueling) or after that much time sitting without storage preparation done, do I need to pay the shop to get it ready first ? thanks guys

just follow the manufactures reccomendation for recommissioning. drain the carbs and use fresh fuel, a 6 gallon tank of premix while making sure the oiling system is ok wont hurt and most manufactures actually reccomend it for most oil injected models.

Ooops! The DF140 is an EFI 4 stroke, rodbolt.

What would you do if your car had been sitting for those 5 months, basscatter?

Yup. That's what I would do, too. Crank her up and go fishing. :)
