Motorola Alternator Brushes

Hello, <br /><br />I am searching for brushes for my Motorola alternator off a 1978 898 Mercruiser. I am having a difficult time even finding a part # for this motorola unit, much less the brushes or brush assembly. <br /><br />Anyone have any ideas? At first I thought this alternator to be pretty standard, but there is nothing on the net about it.<br /><br />Thanks

chang to the GM single or 3 wire alt. much better off.
