I've had no problems for 2 seasons, Now I ran into a communication issue with the foot pad and the trolling motor. Its working on and off and it beeps like crazy, I"ve replaced the battery in the remote and made sure my deep cycle battery is fully charged but still the same problem.

If you haven't, remove motor from power source, let set a few seconds, and plug back in. A MG tech warned my about leaving motor plugged in while on charger. He said the electronics are on all the time (no shut-off) and damage may happen to the electronics. They might have fixed this in version 2. If you have the short antenea, it is version 1.

What model/version would I have? The antenna is about 2 inches in length. Sorry I forgot to mention that I had recently replaced the motherboard and still having issues. I always unplug the unit when charging my deep cycle battery. I've contacted a warranty centre for this product and I will update everyone as to what fix this particular issue.

What model/version would I have? The antenna is about 2 inches in length.

You have version 1. Version 2 went to an internal antenea.
