First time post... Hello all!
I bought a used Nitro a couple of weeks ago and swapped out the old 12V trolling motor for a 24V Motorguide. The old one was also a motorguide.
I took it out for the first time this weekend. The foot pedal doesn't seem to control the trolling motor very well... It feels "stripped"... Any ideas on what parts might be bad in it or if I can exchange the foot control from the 12V model to the 24V model??
I believe this is the diagram of my foot control (or very close).

The cable seems ok. There is a bearing half way up the shaft that is missing some metal bbs, but I don't know how that would cause the motor head to go wherever it wanted to.
The motor itself is incredibly strong..... but not much use if it's not going where you want it to go.
Thanks.
