Motor will not start

Hello everyone I am new to this forum I am having issues with my motor it's a 1975 johnson fast track 175 hp I got the boat a few months ago its been starting up good till this past weekend I fired it up it this weekend it idled for about 10 second then it sat off and now I will not fire up I checked all the plugs but there is no spark at all I did a spark test but not spark a friend said possible the power pack is bad any help would be great

I do not believe there was a 175 HP motor in 1975.---Best to post a model # I think.

I agree, my uncle was a dealer back in the day and maybe just before that the 115 was the biggest.

Did you tinker with the kill wire or the man overboard clip?

Start there.

A 135 HP was biggest Johnson in 1975.------I think he meant to type 1995 model !
