I'm about to take ownership on a 1965 Merc 1000 (100 HP), along with the same year Glasspar Seafair Sedan 18'. The designed weight of the boat is around 950 lbs. I'm trying to get an idea as to the whole rig's towing weight. I did download the Merc Manual from this web site's "sticky" page, but nowhere in there does it give that spec.

Anybody have that info? Thank you so much!

I found a catalog that rates a '72 Merc 1150 at 273 lbs. I'd guess yours might be lighter by 10-15 lbs.

The 99-c.i. Inlines are closer to 300lb and your 90-c.i. Six weighs in somewhere around 240lb. The diff is pretty much in the powerhead, later Sixes have a more massive crank and internals, plus a heavier block.
