i have looked at threads all over the net but havent had any luck with my question i have a 1997 merc bigfoot 60 hp. when i put it in gear sometimes the motor slams into gear jerking the whole boat and it is very noisy making a clunking sound however once it is in gear it runs great! I dont think this is normal since it doesnt do it all the time but do any of you guys have any idea as to what is causing this problem?
