motor problem

I have a mercruiser 6.2 MPI its a 2003 model in a 2003 Rinker 232br. If I have been running the motor then stop for a little bit then try to start the motor again it will not start and it will flood the engine to the point I can smell the fuel. If I wait for about ten minutes with the fans running it will then start. I have had 2 dealers look for the problem and neither have found the problem. Any body have any suggestions on what the problem is?

The boat is shot. Luckily, I like you and I'd be willing to take the boat off your hands, cheap. Use the money to buy an older boat that already has the problems worked out....

When you go to start it back up does the engine roll over fast?

It turns over but you can tell its flooding itself out.

It would prob not hurt to pull off the top and see what things look like

Jeff, it's an MPI, there is no carb to pull the top off of.<br /><br />RF, what's the Merc SN of your engine. Since you have had 2 dealers already look at it, don't expect anything fast, as the MPI system can be quite complicated to check out......<br />Do you have a manual? Cause there will be questions.
