boat sank its bin the water for about a week i think but could be two what do i do now it woint turn over 50 hp merc

First: freshwater or saltwater? Reguardless your electical system is probably shot..Wet solenoids,ignition switch,Ect..Pull the spark plugs out before you Try to start it.. Let any trapped water escape.. Personaly I'd pull the cylinder head off to look for rust..If light rusty try Wd40 on a rag & wipe the cylinders down to see if it wipes away..If not it's overhaul time.. Spray all powerhead internals heavly with WD40 or equivilent... Rebuild the carbs..Get it running as quickly as possible... Run extra oil at 40:1 for several hours after you get running..If Saltwater=complete teardown & rebuild......... :( No amount of flushing will remove all the salt...
