motor not pumping water

2006 90 horse 4 stroke not pumping water rubber hose is not clogged but when I push air through it it will just build pressure in the hose

You should replace your impeller the morning of your first launch of the season every year, this should get the water pumping.
If the water doesn't start coming out the indicator hole 30 seconds after you start the motor turn motor off.
Then you should drop the lower unit and check the water tube for blockages,
If this is your first impeller change you-tube explains it perfectly, watch videos until you feel comfortable.
Iv'e read some guys push weed whacker line up the hose to clear out the bugs.

if you cannot get air to flow through the tell tail it sure will not flow water.

follow the line to where it enters the block, take it loose and see if you can clear the passage
