Hey guys! I got my engine all rebuilt and started and I am dropping it in tomorrow! Its a 3.7L and I had to replace the wood for the front mount as part of my resto because it was 100% water logged.

My question is, do you guys have any tip on sealing the mounting bolts so I can better prevent water from working its way in through?

Re: Motor mount question

I usually locate the new holes when I set the motor in place and verify alignment ,remove motor and pre drill the new holes, warm up some resin ,add hardner and pour in in the new holes. This saturates the new wood. Then redrill the pilot holes.install motor , install lags with 5200

Sup Solar, U got that thing running?
I bet, U are pretty stoked.
I've used some left over 3m 5200 sealant.
