when im trolling it fine but when i go fast it makes a bump noise just once untill i slow down and then speed up it a 76 johnson 35hp thank for looking

sounds like you starting to have trouble with the dog gear ,its the gear that puts the motor in fwd or rev,there happens to be alot of those problems lately,search the clutch dog or dor gear,there are lots of posts

Have you greased all the fittings? Pump until fresh grease comes out the joints.
