motor jerks when lowering with trim

'94 Johnson 150......When trimming down the motor "jerks". If a small amount of pressure is applied the jerking stops and motor goes down smoothly. OK when trimming up.<br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Danny K.

when was the last time the wear pads were greased? and is the tilt tube bushings/tube showing signs of corrosion?

The pads were greased yesterday and no signs of corrosion. Does it take awhile for the grease to get into the system? It did seem to help.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Danny K.
