Motor idles in neutral, dies in gear under power

My 6 horse 4 stroke mercury will idle/rev fine in neutral, once put into gear and throttled up it will die, any ideas?

My 6 horse 4 stroke mercury will idle/rev fine in neutral, once put into gear and throttled up it will die, any ideas?

Check carborater...run a mix of carb cleaner and gas thru it, fast idle so it runs thru good. Make sure gas is fresh. Run a fuel stabilizer into the system for off season storage.
