Best bet is to check the owners manual for the towing capacity. It it can tow a 1500 boat, it can pull it up the launch.

Re: motor home capable of pulling a boat

Depends how steep the slope is and how big the engine in the motorhome is.

A rear wheel drive or a 4x4 (but I've yet to see a decent size 4x4 motorhome in the UK)motorhome is more likely to be capable of it-but there is always another option.

I used to keep an old winch with a loop of cable to hook to my towhitch for exactly that purpose.
I'd put the boat onto the trailer with the trailer disconnected from the car and the car on the flat ground above the ramp-then winch the boat up to the car. If the ramp's busy it makes you a little unpopular at times but it's an awful lot better than getting stuck on a slippery ramp. You also need someone in the vehicle with the brakes on too.

It also means that if you go somewhere with a very long ramp at a shallow angle you don't have to get the towing vehicle wet. I'm going to be buying a 12v winch with a towhitch attachment for exactly that reason too.

Coz I'm lazy and the boat weighs 900kg inc trailer! :p

That and the high tide where I launch comes to the top of the ramp at times so its always nasty and slippery.
