Motor hight with pic

So heres my set up. I know it should be higher But without modding my transom it cant go higher. Will it still work though?

Will it work? Sure. It'll move the boat but it'll probably throw water back upnside the boat and be very inefficient. I notice there are no lower mounting bolts so it must be using the auxilary mounting holes. That means it cannot be moved higher without drilling new holes and filling old holes. Also looks like an older motor without trim & tilt. Also interesting that it has negative wedges but the tilt rod is moved out.

What do you meen negitive wedges ? And its not bolted on it's clamped on to the transom with the top clamps you know turn to tight'n

Id like to bolt it on but dislike the idea that ill have holes in my transom. As some day ill come across a motor that will fit just right .

Way low for optimum performance. Should throw quite the water screen up.
