motor has not run in awhile

boat mechanic is saying the compression is too low for this motor to be any good.<br /><br />85 psi on cyls. <br />should i get it started before i junk it. it does show the signs of being in salt water.<br /><br />115 hp evinrude...1977

Before giving up, why not try and start and decarbonize. May help compression and give you some running time before deciding.
