motor depth

i just put a 85hp force on a skeeter 15ft. the motor seems very deep in the water. what would be normal depth and where should i measure from.

Start with the cav plate even with the true bottom of the boat. The final height will depend upon the type of prop you use.<br /><br />Good luck!
