Hey everyone,
So I was having motor issues earlier this summer that I had fixed then next thing you know it was making a horrible rapping sound (sounded like crank bearing to me), top end had 135psi in each cylinder so automatically I figured it was bottom end. When it did it it shut down and wouldn't start again. I replaced the stator thinking maybe a misfire but I got it started back up and the noise still happened.
Fast forward.
I found the same 35 hp merc and got it foe 100 bucks on a gamble it was running when taken off the boat and put in storage. I was going to swap the motors and went to look at both of them and the one that is on the boat is set up for power trim and the "new" to me motor is not set up for it. Is this a complicated process to switch over? Thanks in advance and I'll try to post a video of the sound the old motor was making.
