I was going through some cupboards at the cottage and found the owner's manual (titled "General instructions for 1940 Johnson Seahorse outboard motors) for a vintage outboard which has been gone for 40+ years. This is an original document.
The material is captured, since you could buy a repro from Ken Cook for ~ $35-, but there may be some value (I don't mean monetary, this is going at no cost to the most worthy location/venue) in archival terms to some historical organisation or similar in having an original.
Any opinions on who might be a good candidate to whom I might donate this?
Possibly it is of no value and is just waste paper, but I'd hate to throw it out without checking.
If no suggestions come out of this, if any member of iboats has an interest in this and actually has one of the motors covered by the manual, (models AT, LT, DT, KA, PO, or SD), PM me and for a $10- donation to your charity of choice, I'll mail it to you. (my choice would be "Wounded Warriors" if you are in US, or "Soldier On" if you are Canadian...)
