Just got a call from my mortgage company. Thanks to an internal audit, they are making a few changes to my refi from last year. It seems that they caught a computer error that adversly affected the the loan that I could qualify for.<br />The corrections they will make are:<br /><br />1. Lower interest rate by .6 points<br />2. Change from 2/1 ARM to 5/1 ARM<br />3. Refund all closing costs <br />4. Refund over payment of interest for last 13 months<br />5. Pay all prepayment penalties<br /><br />If your interested, the loan was brokered through DiTech, which is owned by GMAC.<br /><br />Finally a computer error that works in my favor.<br />Way to go DiTech.
