more trolling motor advice

My transom to the water line is 12-13 inches.<br />Would I go with a 30 or 36 inch trolling motor shaft? Any information is always appreciated. MB

JB, which brand trolling motor would you go with? Motorguide or minn kota. MB

For a transom mount unit I think either would be fine. They are both good makes.<br /><br />Good luck.

JB--thanks for the information! Walmart has<br />the motorguide transom 30# /30" for a lot less<br />than the minn kota. I'll keep you informed. MB
