Ok so ive posted two previous questions. First was about changing impeller, second was about adjusting fuel mixture. Both went well and i repaired all that nonsense. Of course the motor still wasn't spitting water. So i go back home and start taking it apart. I took the "head" off, or the part where the spark plug goes, and wow, the previous owner really neglected the motor. The ENTIRE water jacket, was solid. So ive been picking away at it.

My question is, i need to take off the lower unit and remove the power head. I removed the six bolts that appear to be connecting the poewrhead to the lower unit but it wont budge. Clearly part of the pull starter is still connected to the lower unit. How do i seperate the power head? I removed the six bolts on the part of the motor facing the control panel, on what i would call on a car the crankcase, and nothing wants to come off. How do i go about seperating the power head?

On the bottom of the lower unit i attempted to remove the two bolts that hold the lower part up to the upper part of hte lower unit. Well those bolts were basically just dust as they had been pretty much ate through and the heads snapped off. With those bolts removed and the prope and all impeller parts removed should the lower unit from basically the cavitation plate down come off?

I believe the motor is basically totalled. But i figure ill try to get it working anyway.

All help much appreciated,

Thanks
Brian
