more on the stator problems

Hello, Ihave a model 856x5l serial no.2884 1985 model 85 hp. force engine. Do the blue and yellow wires coming from the stator going to cdi do they hook up color cordinated? Because on mine it has plugs. one set of wires is color cordinated and the other one is blue to yellow is this right? I have a clymer shop manual but just want to make shure iam following it correct. you can read my other question on this forum listed as Stator Problem??? to get a better understanding of whats going on.Thanks for the help you guys are great on here.

If your ign has Plugs and your stator has just wires....you have the wrong stator.<br /><br />TMD

My manual came back, need to know if stator wires have plug in connectors, or ring termials that connect to termial strip. On the termial strip type, the 2 stators blues are are tied together at the termial strip and go to pack for cylinder 1 and 2. One yellow to pack 1 and 2, one yellow to pack 3. <br /><br />The connector type has the 2 blues connect together, goes to one pack. the other pack only gets a yellow the blue from this pack is not connected.
